On-site or managed centrally by FrontWorks or any combination of the two e.g. back-ups, FrontWorks can offer the solution for you.
The key to a mission critical application is the accuracy, resilience, and availability of the system. The APS/CID system has been designed and built to offer functionality rich, fault tolerant and high availability software/hardware to the people and organizations who demand it. Our experience in extremely sensitive high volume and high value payment systems has enabled FrontWorks to offer the quality of service networks and computer implementations that our customer's deserve. Hard bitten mainframe and PC/server knowledge has culminated in FrontWorks bringing a solution to market which not only meets the needs, but exceeds customer expectation.
Our service assures:
- Ease of Use
- Only one day of training
- YOU are not tied into one Telco - Telco independence is essential, if one Telco fails either technically or commercially, utilize another telephone or IP address to kick off scenarios and maintain the system
- Contact Details are maintained in a dual server environment - If one fails then the other server is, at maximum, only 30 minutes behind. Updating contact details on one server will result in the other server being automatically updated 10-20 minutes later. (Data mirroring and Log Shipping applied)
- Virus Resistant - multiple Operating Systems ensures that a single virus will not bring the entire system to a halt
- Resource Pooling - The unique design enables a single call or web invoked scenario to use all the outbound Telephone and Internet lines available independently of the Telco network on which the request was received. All resources are truly Non-Network Sensitive (NNS) such that a telephone call coming in from Telco A can result in sending calls and data from Telco A, B...Z.
- Highly Secure Environment - The hardware and software are located in an extremely secure environment. The building is classified M.o.D.- 2 and has been specially built to locate highly sensitive and secure equipment. Dual power supplies, one from National Grid and one directly from a Power station combined with 20 hour burns walls, Gravity fed generators, 5 independent air conditioning systems, power quot;smoothing" i.e. no power surges, 15 security coded “quot;quot;submarine” doors from entrance through to equipment rooms and much more provides the correct environment to house your critical applications. The architecture provides incoming and outgoing Firewalls such that hacking is tackled. Security patches are applied a.s.a.p, this has minimal impact to the service as FrontWorks performs this on Telco connected network and leaves the other working. When updates/patches have been applied successfully the other Telco network is quiesced to upgrade it also.
- Secure Information - Due to FrontWorks experience in handling mission critical and highly sensitive financial information all information transmitted can be security assured by use of PIN codes or any other unique access code. Therefore not only can we ensure that critical information is send instantaneously to the correct people but also that any sensitive information does not fall into the wrong hands.
- Systems Interface - FrontWorks experience is in interfacing mission critical solutions for large Corporate and Financial Institutions. This experience has been used to design and build an application that can easily be integrated with the clients own internal systems. This ensures not only that the system can be up and running quickly and efficiently but also that there are quot;no hidden costs".
Software Upgrades and Security
- Security patches applied a.s.a.p., one Telco network at a time, ensuring continuous uninterrupted service
- Software upgraded and commissioned on a single network basis, ensuring continuous uninterrupted service
Dual Telecommunications Suppliers
FrontWorks offers dual Telco supplier redundancy ensuring that if a disaster occurs at Telco A, Telco B will be available for use. This second Telco is not a back-up supplier requiring time and effort to bring on-line at time of disaster. Both Telcos are part of the FrontWorks network so that they are available for use on a daily basis.
To enable our customers to take advantage of this dual availability there are separate sets of IP addresses and Telephone numbers which give access to the APS/CID services via separate Telco routes. Customer data is not impacted as it is centrally available to both network images.
In a world fraught with company failures this also enables FrontWorks to continue services to our clients in the event of a Telco supplier ceasing to trade. Just switch to the other set of IP addresses and Telephone numbers.
